| The Youth Ensemble This is the core Restless performance group with around 20 young people as members. They are people with and without a disability between the ages of 15 and 26. They meet each Thursday night throughout the year except when in intensive rehearsals for major productions. The Ensemble makes one or two major new works a year. |

| Membership of the Youth Ensemble is by invitation only with some dancers spending several years with the group. The stability and cohesiveness of the group contributes to a supportive on stage environment. | ||
| Restless finds that auditions are not an appropriate method of recruiting new dancers with a disability. The company depends on having a regular program of workshops to refresh the membership of the Youth Ensemble. | ||
